When Other People Make You Doubt Yourself

About this episode

Why does a stranger's opinion influence you so much? In this episode I look at what happens when someone else's certainty starts working against your own, by wearing down the trust you had in a decision you'd made.

I share my experience, about choosing to study Philosophy at university against pretty much everyone's advice, to walk through the difference between an opinion that adds something to your thinking and one that just erodes it. To help you reflect, I also suggest a way to tell, which kind of conversation you're in. (These are not new ideas but they are served in a way you might be able to really relate to them and implement).

Enjoy,

Hila
